This week marks the beginning of the festive season in India with the aagman of Lord Ganesha.
There’s a different kind of aura in the air – the faint scent of camphor paired with lightly lit incense sticks instantly uplifting the atmosphere, with a touch of fresh flowers and that familiar scent of happiness. The whole vibe feels like home, like you are supposed to be exactly where you are.
Over the next few months with multiple festivals aligned, this feeling is going to continue And that’s what makes the heart race with excitement while keeping the mind as calm as the gentle waves of the sea.
It almost feels as though the calendar has been designed to soften the blow of another year coming to an end – another year gone by, another reminder of time passing, of youth and innocence slowly becoming memories. And yet, perhaps every ending is simply a quiet way of making room for a new beginning.
And just like that as we approach the end of the year with all these festivities, it almost feels like the year too is celebrating its own end and perhaps, the beginning of another wonderful one.
